About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join our client's team in Houston on a hybrid schedule. The ideal candidate will bring 8+ years of hands-on experience with Cisco networking technologies, including Meraki, and a proven track record of designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise network environments.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Design, configure, and maintain LAN/WAN environments, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless networks.

+ Manage and optimize Cisco and Meraki infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance.

+ Perform troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and remediation for network incidents.

+ Support network upgrades, migrations, and security initiatives.

+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and secure connectivity solutions.

+ Document network architecture, configurations, and procedures.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

+ 8+ years of experience as a Network Engineer.

+ Strong expertise with Cisco networking equipment (routers, switches, firewalls).

+ Hands-on experience with Cisco Meraki solutions.

+ Proficiency in routing, switching, VLANs, VPNs, and network security best practices.

+ Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work in complex environments.

+ Strong communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Cisco certification (CCNA or CCNP) strongly preferred.

+ Experience in hybrid enterprise environments (cloud + on-prem).

+ Familiarity with network monitoring and management tools.
