Job Title: Sheet Metal Technician / HVAC Installer
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Sheet Metal Technician or HVAC Installer with a strong background in sheet metal work to join our team in Norfolk, VA. You will be working on multiple new construction commercial projects in the Hampton Roads area, primarily within the multifamily sector.
Responsibilities
+ Design, fabricate, and frame sheet metal components.
+ Collaborate with crews of 4-5 technicians on various projects.
+ Install ductwork and troubleshoot HVAC systems.
+ Read and interpret blueprints accurately.
Essential Skills
+ 5-6 years of commercial sheet metal experience.
+ Proficiency in mechanical and construction work.
+ Experience in sheet metal fabrication and duct installation.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Leadership experience is ideal.
+ Completion of an apprenticeship and/or EPA universal certification is a plus.
+ Prior experience in duct installation is highly advantageous.

Work Environment
The typical work schedule is from 7 AM to 3:30 PM, with flexibility to start earlier or later depending on weather conditions. There is potential for a 4-day, 10-hour workweek from Monday to Thursday, and occasional weekend work may be required. The busiest months are from April to September, so a strong work ethic during this period is essential.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Norfolk, Virginia.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.
