Job Title: Plant Manager - $120k - $150k

Job Description

The Plant Manager leads, mentors, coaches, and directs production leaders to meet requirements and expectations around quality, standards, efficiencies, and timelines. This role achieves a high level of employee efficiency, engagement, and morale through leadership and sound management, addressing personnel issues specific to the work environment. The Plant Manager is responsible for resolving customer and vendor issues related to quality, timeliness, and costs, focusing on cost control and labor productivity to maximize profitability. Ensuring safety standards and protocols are met, the Plant Manager collaborates with master schedulers and planners to ensure resources are available to meet schedules and deadlines.

Responsibilities

+ Lead, mentor, coach, and direct production leaders to meet quality and efficiency standards.

+ Achieve high employee efficiency, engagement, and morale through effective leadership.

+ Resolve elevated customer and vendor issues related to timeliness, quality, and cost.

+ Ensure compliance with safety standards and protocols.

+ Collaborate with master schedulers and planners to meet schedules and deadlines.

+ Ensure all staff are trained on proper equipment use.

+ Oversee proper recording of labor hours and costs, review variances, and assess impact on financials.

+ Maintain an inventory system and review audit results to identify variances.

+ Communicate with departmental directors and staff on issues and goals.

+ Stay informed on technical developments affecting press efficiency and profitability.

+ Advise cross-functional teams on production capabilities and pressroom capacity.

+ Implement continuous improvement techniques and manufacturing best practices.

+ Ensure activities comply with Environmental Management System standards.

+ Maintain preventative maintenance schedules for equipment performance.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $150000.00/yr.
