Job Title: Controls Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Controls Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role involves designing detailed schematics and working engineering drawings for electrical devices and systems. You will be part of a team that conducts electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic design, programs peripheral devices, and coordinates machine debugging, power-up, and validation. You will also collaborate with the R&D team on new product development projects and provide technical support during assembly and final testing.
Responsibilities
+ Design detailed schematics and engineering drawings for electrical devices and systems.
+ Conduct design and programming for electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic systems, and machine PLCs.
+ Coordinate machine debugging, power-up, and validation with build and electrical teams.
+ Travel to installation sites for setup and runoffs with customers.
+ Collaborate with the R&D team on new product development including design, testing, and technical support.
+ Provide technical support to the assembly team during assembly and manage Final Assembly Test.
+ Engage in continuous improvement activities to enhance product performance, cost efficiency, and standardization.
+ Generate bills of materials from specifications and drawings.
+ Work with cross-functional teams to solve problems and develop customer solutions.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related field.
+ Minimum of 1 year of experience in control systems engineering, including co-op experience.
+ Understanding of process automation and industrial controls.
+ Proficiency in HMI Programming in the specified environment (FTview) and Allen-Bradley systems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with packaging automation is preferred.
+ Proficiency in RSLogix5, RSLogix500, RSLogix5000, Studio 5000, and CCW environments.
+ Experience in industrial machine controls.
Work Environment
This is a fully onsite position in a large manufacturing facility equipped with automated equipment. The environment is very clean and attached to an updated office space. You will be part of a fast-paced team using tools like AutoCAD (non-electrical) to manage control package drawings and collaborate with customers, assembly techs, and divisional strategy teams.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $41.00 - $53.00/hr.
