Job Title: Construction Project Manager

Job Description

An established and well-regarded company located in Newport News is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their team. The role involves managing all project activities in collaboration with the project superintendent and team, overseeing finances, and maintaining contract documents. The Project Manager will also prepare and maintain the project schedule in coordination with the superintendent and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

+ Manage all project activities alongside the project superintendent and team.

+ Oversee and manage all financial aspects and contract documents.

+ Prepare and maintain the project schedule in collaboration with the superintendent and subcontractors.

+ Coordinate change orders and requests for information (RFIs).

Essential Skills

+ 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager in commercial construction.

+ Experience managing projects valued at $20 million or more.

+ Bachelor of Science in Construction Management or a related field.

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, BlueBeam, and scheduling software such as MS Project, Primavera, or Phoenix.

+ Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with higher education projects is a plus.

+ Experience in construction estimating, accounting, and document administration.

+ Familiarity with COINS, Autodesk Viewers, and SharePoint is preferred.

+ Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM).

+ Excellent listening skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

The role involves working both in the office and on-site as needed. The company offers a small business feel while acting like a large company, providing great pay and benefits. This is an opportunity to work on large-scale projects within both federal and commercial spaces.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Newport News, Virginia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $105000.00 - $130000.00/hr.
