    Job Title: Regulatory Specialist Job Description

     

    As a Regulatory Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining and updating regulatory documentation, including specifications, nutritional information, and allergen statements. You will track allergens from raw materials to finished product labels and approve supplier and raw material documentation. Additionally, you will conduct internal audits and support external inspections while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance is embedded in product development. Staying current on evolving regulations across North America, EU, and Australia is essential, as is supporting backend flavor operations and label creation.

    Responsibilities

    + Maintain and update regulatory documentation, including specs, nutritional info, and allergen statements.

    + Track allergens from raw materials to finished product labels.

    + Approve supplier and raw material documentation.

    + Conduct internal audits and support external inspections.

    + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance is embedded in product development.

    + Stay current on evolving regulations across North America, EU, and Australia.

    + Support backend flavor operations and label creation.

    Essential Skills

    + 3–5 years of experience in regulatory affairs, preferably in the food, flavor, or fragrance industry.

    + Bachelor's Degree in food science or related field, or equivalent experience.

    + Experience with SQF (Safe Quality Food), GMP, Kosher, Halal, Prop.65, and CAS numbers.

    + Strong regulatory compliance skills.

    + Ability to work comfortably in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Fragrance and Flavor experience of 3+ years.

    + Knowledge of International Regulatory standards (Australia, Canada, EU).

    + Experience in labeling compliance, allergen tracking, and organic certification.

    Work Environment

    You will work a 4/10 schedule from Monday to Thursday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with Fridays off. The company culture is collaborative, hands-on, and supportive of long-term career growth. The workload is fast-paced but flexible, ideal for adaptable professionals who can wear multiple hats.

    This is a Permanent position based out of Commerce, California.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $95000.00/yr.
