Electrical Test Technician

Actalent is seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Test Technician to support a mid-sized specialty engineering firm that designs and builds custom test equipment. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys working on unique, challenging projects in a collaborative and flexible environment.

Key Responsibilities

+ Fabricate, assemble, and wire custom electrical and mechanical systems based on detailed diagrams.

+ Perform light fabrication and mechanical assembly, including layout of high-pressure tubing and mounting of electrical components.

+ Execute manual machining tasks such as milling, drilling, tapping, cutting, and grinding.

+ Work with technologies including PLCs, sensors, lab instruments, motors, motion devices, and pumps.

+ Troubleshoot systems and conduct electrical testing using industry-standard equipment.

Qualifications

+ Proficiency in electronics and electrical testing.

+ Experience with troubleshooting and using test equipment.

+ Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical blueprints.

+ Familiarity with PLCs, sensor technology, lab instrumentation, motors, motion control, and pump control.

+ Associate’s Degree in Engineering Technology (electrical focus preferred).

+ Prior experience in light industrial machine manufacturing and mechanical/electrical assembly.

Work Environment

+ Climate-controlled facility with all tools, meters, and supplies provided.

+ Flexible work schedule and a collaborative, problem-solving culture.

+ Occasional travel to customer sites (approx. 10%) with all expenses covered.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
