SR. ELECTRICAL ENGINEER

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and licensed Senior Electrical Engineer to lead our Electrical Department. This role involves providing technical leadership, overseeing the design and documentation of building electrical systems, and ensuring compliance with all applicable codes and standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, project management, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the Electrical Department, providing technical guidance and mentorship to staff.

Oversee the analysis, design, and documentation of building electrical systems, including:

Power distribution

Lighting systems

Fire alarm and life safety systems

Security and communication systems

Prepare schematic designs, construction documents, and specifications in alignment with client requirements and code compliance.

Review and approve design calculations, drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.

Supervise construction-related services, including:

Reviewing shop drawings

Responding to RFIs (Requests for Information)

Conducting field/site surveys and observations

Attending coordination and project meetings

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including architects, engineers, owners, product manufacturers, vendors, and contractors.

Ensure accuracy and coordination of construction documents across all disciplines.

Serve as Project Manager for electrical scopes, managing schedules, budgets, and deliverables.

Technical Expertise:

Electrical power and distribution systems

Lighting and lighting control systems

Fire alarm and life safety systems

Security and communication systems

Short circuit and voltage drop analysis

Field inspections and construction support

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred)

Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience

Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)

LEED Accreditation preferred

Proficiency in industry-standard software including:

Revit

EasyPower

SKM Power Tools

AutoCAD and other Autodesk programs

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $140000.00/yr.

medical, dental, vision, 401k, life insurance, 401k - 3% up to 6%- PTO: first year, 15 days, 5th anniversary, 20 days, 15th anniversary, 25 days

Workplace Type

This is a fully onsite position in Beverly Hills,MI.
