Civil Project Engineer II/III
Job Description
A full-service civil engineering firm is seeking a Civil Project Engineer II/III to join our dynamic team in Woodbridge, VA, and/or Fairfax, VA offices. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in assisting team members across all project phases, with a strong emphasis on developing site designs for various land development projects using AutoCAD and Civil 3D software.
Responsibilities
+ Support the development of site designs for land development projects using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
+ Lead the development of design and technical documents through all project phases, focusing on design efficiencies.
+ Assist in the design efforts for water and sanitary sewer systems and subdivision plans.
+ Collaborate on construction drawings and work with internal production staff to meet deadlines for site development projects.
+ Conduct planning studies, preliminary and final design plan production, and project permitting.
+ Design erosion and sediment control plans and measures in accordance with state criteria.
+ Perform quality assurance and quality control on own work.
+ Assist in the training and development of junior staff members.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
+ 2-6+ years of experience in land development design, including stormwater management, site grading, and erosion & sediment control.
+ Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
+ EIT certification and/or PE License preferred.
+ Experience developing construction documents.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience working on local projects in Northern VA (DMV) is preferred.
+ Plans to obtain EIT certification and/or PE License if not already held.
Work Environment

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $120000.00/hr.
