Job Title: Electrical Engineer
Job Description
Join our dynamic team as an Electrical Engineer, where you will bring your expertise to multidisciplinary projects in industrial processing, power, mining, and fuel facilities. Initially, you will focus on projects in the oil and gas sector, offering your skills in detailed design and technical leadership.
Responsibilities
+ Provide electrical engineering and technical expertise for industrial processing and power sectors.
+ Support electrical installations in power, mining, and hydro sectors with detailed designs.
+ Develop cost estimates, wiring, schematic diagrams, and bills of materials.
+ Contribute to proposal development by defining work scopes, deliverables, schedules, and budgets.
+ Prepare plans, specifications, reports, and power and control designs.
+ Manage projects and provide technical leadership while coaching and mentoring junior staff.
+ Undertake short-term assignments, including out-of-town travel.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, preferably focused on power or control systems.
+ 5+ years of relevant experience for mid-level positions (EIT required); 10+ years for lead-level positions (PE preferred).
+ Experience with medium and high voltage systems.
+ Proficiency in AutoCAD 3D and industrial manufacturing processes such as power plants, petroleum refining, mining, or chemical production.
+ Knowledge of PLC and HMI programming, commissioning, and electrical installations in hazardous environments.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with SKM Power Tools or E-Tap software for coordination and arc flash studies.
+ Familiarity with Rockwell Automation/Allen Bradley PLC and HMI programming software.
+ Experience with start-up and commissioning of industrial projects.
+ Knowledge of piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID).
Work Environment
The role offers flexibility with two days in the office per week, with more days preferred initially. You can choose to work from our Duluth or Minneapolis office. There are no core hours; you need to complete your tasks and maintain communication with the team. Some local site travel is required, with potential for further travel if you choose to support out-of-state projects. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $140000.00/yr.
