Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook to join our team. This role requires a passionate culinary professional who is committed to preparing high-quality meals. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and serving food according to the daily menu and maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness.
Responsibilities
+ Prepare and cook meals from 6:30 am to 10:30 am according to the daily menu, which changes weekly.
+ Transport food to service areas and assist in manning stations during service from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm.
+ Return items to the kitchen and begin preparation for the next day's menu from 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm.
+ Conduct full preparation on Fridays from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm.
+ Prepare food items to meet production, delivery, and service schedules.
+ Serve meals or prepare them for delivery using correct portioning and ensuring attractiveness and taste.
+ Use established ticket collection procedures and maintain records during service periods.
+ Clean kitchen areas post-preparation and serving, and maintain high cleanliness standards.
+ Store excess food safely and keep refrigerators and storerooms clean and organized.
+ Operate and maintain kitchen equipment as instructed.
+ Assist in production planning, record keeping, and reporting.
+ Participate in ordering and receiving food and supplies as required.
+ Report maintenance needs or faulty equipment to the supervisor.
+ Maintain good working relationships with coworkers and customers.
+ Ensure proper presentation, portion control, and serving temperatures, following HACCP standards.
+ Commit to personal and others' safety, using medium weight cut gloves, oven mitts, and slip-resistant shoes.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in food preparation, line cooking, and grill cooking.
+ Strong knife skills and knowledge of food safety and inventory management.
+ Ability to prepare food according to standardized recipes and instructions.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in using kitchen equipment and maintaining cleanliness.
+ Capability in assisting with production planning and reporting.
+ Knowledge of safe food-handling procedures and HACCP standards.

This is a fast-paced environment where you will be on your feet for 8 hours a day. We seek individuals who thrive in a lively setting and can maintain efficiency and safety at all times.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Seattle, Washington.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
