    CNC Machinist and Programmer in Columbia, TN on 2nd Shift

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist and Programmer with a minimum of 5 years of experience in setting up and operating CNC machinery. The ideal candidate will have proficiency in using precision measuring tools, cutting tools, boring bars, and fixtures, as well as the ability to work from blueprints, rough sketches, and customer samples in a fast-paced environment. Openings are available for both 1st and 2nd shifts.

     

    Programmer: Up to $32hr.

     

    CNC operator: Up to $28hr.

    Responsibilities

    + Set up and operate CNC Mills, lathes, and vertical milling machines.

    + Adjust programs, set up, run, and operate CNC machinery.

    + Work with CAD, CAM, and software programs to machine parts to customer specifications.

    + Plan machining by studying work orders, blueprints, and engineering plans.

    + Program one-off parts and small to medium runs using advanced knowledge.

    + Set up HAAS milling and lathe machines.

    + Operate calipers, inspection gauges, micrometers, and other quality control instruments.

    + Maintain CNC mill and other machines using preventative maintenance methods.

    + Evaluate machine, cutting tool, and software technologies to improve knowledge and cycle times.

    Essential Skills

    + Minimum of 5 years experience with CNC machinery.

    + Proficiency with precision measuring tools and cutting tools.

    + Experience with HAAS and Okuma machines.

    + Ability to work with blueprints and customer samples.

    + Comfortable in a fast-paced environment.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with programming software is a plus.

    + CMM experience is a plus.

    + Experience with CAD and CAM software.

    Work Environment

     

    The work environment is a machine shop that experiences hot and cold temperatures, as it is not climate-controlled. We provide uniforms and laundry services. The work schedule includes a 1st Day Shift (Monday-Friday, 6:30 am-3:00 pm) and a 2nd Night Shift (Monday-Thursday, 3:00 pm-1:30 am) with opportunities for weekend work and overtime. The work location is in person.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Columbia, Tennessee.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
