The Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis is a critical leader within the finance team, responsible for overseeing financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic analysis. This role partners with senior leadership to provide insights that drive business decisions, optimize financial performance, and enhance corporate strategy. The ideal candidate has strong financial acumen, leadership skills, and experience managing complex financial models in a fast-paced corporate environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Planning & Forecasting:
+ Lead the development of the annual budget, quarterly forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
+ Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business growth and operational efficiency.
+ Oversee financial modeling to analyze revenue trends, cost drivers, and profitability.
Financial Analysis & Reporting:
+ Manage the preparation of executive-level financial reports, including variance analysis, KPIs, and business performance metrics.
+ Analyze financial and operational results to identify risks, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
+ Present key findings and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and business unit heads.
Business Partnering & Decision Support:
+ Collaborate with department heads (Sales, Operations, Marketing, etc.) to provide financial guidance and align forecasts with business strategies.
+ Support strategic initiatives, including pricing strategies, capital investments, and cost-saving measures.
+ Assist in evaluating mergers, acquisitions, and other investment opportunities.
Process Improvement & Systems Optimization:
+ Drive automation and efficiency improvements in financial reporting and forecasting processes.
+ Implement and optimize financial planning tools (e.g., Anaplan, Adaptive Insights) and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Workday).
+ Ensure data integrity, consistency, and compliance with corporate financial policies.
Team Leadership & Development:
+ Manage, mentor, and develop a team of FP&A analysts, providing guidance on financial modeling, analysis, and strategic insights.
+ Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the FP&A function.
+ Coordinate cross-functional collaboration to improve financial literacy across departments.
Qualifications:
+ Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA, CPA, or CFA preferred.
+ Experience: 5+ years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or a related financial leadership role. 1+ year experience in a supervisory capacity.
Technical Skills:
+ Advanced financial modeling and Excel skills.
+ Experience with financial planning software (Anaplan, Adaptive Insights, Hyperion) and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Workday).
+ Proficiency in data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
Soft Skills:
+ Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
+ Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
+ Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
+ High attention to detail with a results-driven mindset.
