Throughout the 9-week paid internship on the Operations Services Team, there will be inspiring opportunities that welcome you into the Schwab culture and immerse you into your role. The interactive program focuses on a variety of opportunities which feature a business track project, an intern cohort project, learning activities, volunteering in the community, a dedicated intern leader, networking, and exploring your unique personal strengths!
In this role, your main focus will be to provide great service to our clients and the client-facing organizations within Schwab. This is a dynamic role that will allow you to gain a diverse set of skills. When you join Operations, you may be working to support any of the variety of functions that exist including Asset Transfer Services, Account Solutions (New Accounts & Account Updates), Estate Operations, Managed Investing Operations, Banking Operations, Customer Verification and Research, Retirement Plan Services, or Tax Operations. We work behind the scenes to deliver on Schwab’s purpose. Operations plays a critical role in helping our clients achieve their financial goals and inspiring client loyalty. You will gain a unique blend of balancing operational efficiency and risk mitigation, a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality. You will learn how to analyze and understand complex business problems that are part of operating in the financial industry.

What you have

Required Qualifications
+ Be currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program
+ Have enough credit hours to put you at a junior level status at a 4-year college or university
+ Have not already completed your bachelor's degree
+ Able and willing to relocate at your own expense if relocation is needed
+ Able to commit to working 40 hours a week for the 9 weeks of the internship dates of June 8, 2026 - August 7, 2026
+ Able to start full time employment during business hours between August 2026 - September 2027
+ Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without employer sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Majoring in Finance, Business or a related subject area
+ Positive attitude, enthusiasm, professionalism, and strong work ethic with high level of integrity and ethics.
+ Excellent analytical skills and ability to multi-task to perform multiple complex tasks with a superior level of attention to detail.
+ Collaborative and relational work style
+ Intermediate to Advanced technical skills with the ability to utilize at least 5 different applications at any one time, including Windows, internet researching, database systems, and email.
+ Resourcefulness and flexibility, who enjoy working through cross-functional partnerships and collaboration to achieve a common purpose
+ An innovative and questioning demeanor, who constantly look for better ways to do things, have a passion for service, and seek to exceed client expectations
+ Excellent written, verbal, and time management skills
