SUMMARY: Under general supervision, the IT Support Specialist I serves as the first point of contact for customers seeking technical assistance. This position performs troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and determines the best solution based on the issue and details provided by customers. This position also analyzes current and potential systems issues, ensuring that ATS’s tactical goals will be met, while complying with ATS standards and meeting the needs of employees.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
+ Serves as the first point of contact for customers seeking technical assistance.
+ Analyzes and solves technical problems with general direction.
+ Administers help desk software.
+ Diagnoses common problems, recommends solutions, and coordinates and implements repair efforts based on the issue and details provided by the customer.
+ Walks customer through problem solving process.
+ Records events and problems and their resolution.
+ Directs unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel.
+ Ensures the operational condition of PC hardware and specialized hardware.
OTHER DUTIES:
+ Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
+ High school diploma or equivalent.
+ Experience with Windows operating systems: Windows 10, Windows 11, Office365.
+ One (1) year of general experience working with and on computer hardware and software products.
+ One (1) year of general experience with basic networking in a windows environment.
+ Comptia A+ Certification preferred.
+ Experience working in an MRO environment preferred.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
+ Ability to work with general supervision, diplomacy and interpersonal skills.
+ Ability to understand technology and how it is used across the organization.
+ Creative thinking skills where cause and effect relationships may not be obvious.
+ Ability to perform detailed technical work with a high degree of accuracy.
+ Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
+ Strong PC skills; familiarity with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint).
+ Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices and other tech products.
+ Proficiency in English.
+ Customer-oriented and ability to interact with others in a professional manner.
PHYSICAL EFFORT AND DEXTERITY:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to sit; use their hands and arms; and talk or hear; and focus on objects close up. The employee will also be required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee may be required to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Compensation
The base pay range for this position is $20.59 - $28.83 hourly, not including bonuses or benefits. Your pay will be based on your experience, skills, and education, as well as internal equity to ensure fairness across the team. Candidates closer to the lower end of the range are typically building their expertise, while those at the higher end bring significant experience and specialized knowledge. This position is also eligible for an annual performance bonus.
