Job Description
We are looking for an **IT Business Analyst** to collaborate closely with the Product Owner to gather and analyze requirements. This position will involve ensuring clarity of user stories and supporting the delivery of features aligned with the product vision. This position will be a **contract** and **onsite in Miramar, FL.**
Due to the specific legal and contractual requirements associated with this position, this role will be direct employment with CAI. This position does not offer work authorization sponsorship now or in the future.
What You’ll Do
+ Create and maintain the product backlog, prioritizing items, and driving the completion of Minimum Viable Products (MVPs)
+ Evaluate the delivery by agile teams to ensure high-quality features and functionality
+ Elicit detailed requirements, craft user stories with clear acceptance criteria, and support the ongoing refinement and prioritization of the backlog
+ Facilitate collaboration among cross-functional teams, translating complex business concepts into technical specifications
+ Ensure project deliverables are well-understood, achievable, and aligned with sprint goals
What You'll Need
Required:
+ Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or any related discipline
+ 3-5+ years of work experience as a Business Analyst in Software Engineering / Information Technology or related area
+ Experience working on projects related to the construction of new ships or the modernization and upgrade of existing vessels
+ Strong blend of analytical skills, effective communication, and a deep understanding of both business processes and technology
+ Skilled in engaging with customers and empathizing with their needs, placing their wants and requirements at the core of product development
+ Proficient in utilizing a variety of tools and techniques to ensure product health, reliability, availability, and maintainability
+ Well-versed in the business aspects and operations of software products, including understanding the install base, current usage, future plans, and overall product vision
+ Industry-specific knowledge and experience within the Travel, Hospitality or Cruise Line sector
+ Familiar with software development lifecycle methodologies, such as Agile and other iterative approaches
Preferred:
+ Solid technology background in software development & platforms to enable leading technical professional
+ Ability to lead and collaborate with persons at all levels of responsibility in Information Technology and Corporate organizations
+ Ability to coordinate the analysis and problem-solving of engineering problems with many individuals
+ Effective communicator with clear, articulate, and effective writing and speaking skills
+ Creative thinker and problem solver with a solid understanding of agile practices, patterns, and techniques
+ Organized, efficient, and accountable with a keen eye for detail
Physical Demands
+ Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards
+ Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
+ Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
The pay range for this position is $40.00- $45.00 per hour (USD). Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as 401k retirement account access. Employees in this role may also be entitled to paid sick leave as provided by applicable law.
