    Reporting to the Core Litigation Director, this Senior Manager will provide leadership for staff whose primary tasks are the adjudication and settlement of claims involving the most technically challenging claims. You will possess extensive claims and litigation experience across all lines of our business. You will provide direction to staff on all aspects of claims handling and authority requests including those related to coverage and escalated through the team in working with Staff Council.

    Position Compensation Range:

    $111,000.00 - $190,000.00

    Primary Accountabilities

    + You will manage the authority, guidance, and direction to Staff Council.

    + You will create a collaborative, performance-driven work environment by facilitating and promoting trust, transparency, and inclusion. Work with team members to set clear goals, provide feedback, perform performance assessments, and support on-going development.

    + Lead with influence and expertise. You will actively contribute to division or department leadership team. You will communicate and support our organizations mission, vision, values and practices.

    + You will lead teams to ensure delivery of services that exceed customer expectations and compliance with regulatory and company standards.

    + Maintain awareness of existing and proposed legislation, court decisions and latest trends in claims litigation to monitor our compliance and recommend procedure changes.

    + Review, evaluate and maintain file-handling process to meet company and statutory guidelines for Staff Council Authority Group

    + You will participate in corporate claims initiatives including quality file handling, process improvement, training, and development of staff.

    + Prepare and manage annual operating budget. You will also help prepare business plans.

    + Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements.

    Specialized Knowledge & Skills Requirements

    + Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support, or service.

    + Demonstrated extensive knowledge of office and field claim handling processes.

    + Demonstrated thorough understanding of policy language, coverages and underwriting intent.

    + Demonstrated time management skills with the ability to work under pressure and adhere company productivity guidelines.

    + Demonstrated claims handling experience and licensing.

    + Demonstrated ability to recognize developing problems/conflicts and ability to resolve.

    Licenses

    + Obtain state specific property casualty claims licensing as required.

    + Valid driver's license required plus an acceptable driving record.

    Travel Requirements

    + Up to 25%.

    + Work that primarily involves sitting/standing.

    In this hybrid role, you will work 10 days per month from the office. You should reside within approximately 35-50 miles of one of the following office locations: Madison, WI or Phoenix, AZ, or Boston MA.
