Summary This position is located at Hunter Golf Course, Hunter Army Airfield, GA. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid. Responsibilities Incumbent operates a field-type tractor with attached and towed equipment. Plans the order in which work is to be accomplished; transports materials and equipment; and digs, loads, plants, clears, mows and dispenses liquid and solid materials. May operate under different conditions, such as mud, snow, and areas where trees and shrubs present operational hazards. Performs minor maintenance on field-type tractors and attached and towed equipment. Makes multiple connections between the tractor and attached or towed equipment. Adjusts the equipment for job requirements such as setting the height of mower blades, depth of plow blades, and the rate of application of sprayer attachments. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Resumes must be two pages (or less). A qualified candidate must possess the following: Applicant must have one year related experience in operating and performing minor maintenance on a field-type tractor and associated equipment. Applicants must have and retain valid driver's license. May be required to obtain a Government motor vehicle operator's permit. Education Additional Information Area of Consideration This job is open to candidates who are located within the local commuting area. (Within a 50-mile radius of Fort Stewart/Hunter Army Airfield, GA). (Military Spouse Preference (MSP) and Involuntarily Separated Military Preference (ISMP) eligible candidates are included in the area of consideration.) PCS Costs Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are not authorized based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest. Allowances and Differentials This job falls under the Federal Wage Schedule (FWS) pay system. FWS employees earn overtime pay for working more than 8 hours in a day or more than 40 hours in a week -- whichever gives the employee more benefit. Regular full-time, regular part-time, and regularly scheduled flexible employees may receive Sunday premium pay for working on Sundays. Employees may also be eligible to receive extra pay if the majority of their scheduled hours falls after 3:00 PM. Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
