    We are seeking a dedicated Accountant to join our team and contribute to the financial integrity and efficiency of our business operations. The role involves executing journal entries, performing account reconciliations, and ensuring proper Fixed Asset management. The successful candidate will assist auditors, support month-end and year-end closing practices, and analyze financial data. This position requires someone who can streamline and create processes in a very manual environment.

    Responsibilities

    + Execute and perform journal entries and account reconciliations for one or more business units.

    + Ensure proper Fixed Asset management across the company.

    + Assist auditors during annual audits with a focus on SOX compliance.

    + Support month-end and year-end closing practices.

    + Analyze and interpret financial data.

    + Streamline and create processes to improve efficiency.

    Essential Skills

    + 3-5 years of accounting experience

    + Experience with SOX and internal controls

    + Proficiency in AP/AR and preparing financial statements

    + Experience in full close processes

    + Public company experience

    + Knowledge of GAAP

    + Experience with mid-large ERP systems

    + Intermediate Excel skills including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and SUMIF functions

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field

    Work Environment

    The position is fully on-site in Venice, FL, offering a family-oriented culture. The Accountant will be the main accounting professional at this location and will be responsible for the full cycle accounting process, including AP/AR and financial statements preparation. The role involves identifying and resolving errors, preparing financial statements, and communicating with corporate teams. The work environment involves manual processes that require process improvement and automation. The successful candidate should be comfortable reporting to the Kansas Manager and collaborating with the local team. The role offers an opportunity to work with a well-known company in the aerospace industry.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Venice, Florida.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $41.00/hr.
