Shenandoah University’s Division of Occupational Therapy is accepting applications for a Visiting Assistant/Associate Professor, Hybrid Doctor of Occupational Therapy Program. This is a full-time, benefited position located in the Health Professions Building in Winchester, VA.
Hybrid program around 50% online, and 50% face-to-face (meets every Tuesdays with students)
+ Teach doctoral-level courses in occupational therapy, including foundational and applied content in rehabilitation sciences, theory, and practice.
+ Mentor students in doctoral capstone projects, supporting the design, implementation, and dissemination of scholarly work.
+ Contribute to interprofessional education across the School of Health Professions, with opportunities to collaborate with Nursing, Pharmacy, Physical Therapy, Physician Assistant Studies, and Public Health.
+ Engage in scholarly and service activities consistent with the mission of the Division, School, and University.

Required Skills
+ Earned doctoral degree (OTD, PhD, EdD, or equivalent) in occupational therapy or a closely related discipline.
+ Licensure or eligibility for licensure as an occupational therapist in Virginia.
+ Commitment to interprofessional education
+ Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines.
Preferred Experiences:
+ Demonstrated record of excellence in teaching at the graduate level.
+ Evidence of experience or strong potential in doctoral capstone mentorship.
+ Experience in mental health settings
+ Experience with quantitative research
