    System One (Pasadena, TX)


    Job Title: Financial Analyst

     

    Type: 6 month Contract

     

    Compensation: $32 - $43 hourly

     

    Contractor Work Model: Onsite

     

    System One is currently seeking a Financial Analyst on a 6 month contract position located in Pasadena, TX.

    Financial Analyst Responsibilities:

    + Assists with budget preparation of Engineering projects and programs including overhead

    + Assists, prepares and analyzes portions of the Engineering monthly variance analysis and cost statements including forecast updates

    + Coordinates with engineering directors/managers to understand project scope and cost drivers

    + Assists Manager of Business Services in assembling monthly accounting information from Engineering directors/managers to COSCI Accounting and FP&A

    + Assists with facilitating preparation of monthly internal management reporting packages on results of projects/programs which includes variance analysis

    + Assists with analyzing project-level cost drivers and develops scenario-analysis for decision makers

    + Fosters relationships with the Engineering team and shows a willingness to learn about the Energy Industry

    + Assists and contributes to continuous process improvements and building of various Engineering process metrics

    + Assists to develop and maintains current-approved job processes and procedures

    + Other duties and special projects as assigned\

    Financial Analyst Requirements:

    + Minimum Two-year degree plus two years related experience focused in finance and/or business accounting will be considered

    + Experience with Electric Utility, IPP or other Heavy Industry preferred

    + Knowledge of Gas Turbine Life Cycle cost drivers and dependencies a plus

    + Excellent spreadsheet modeling skills are required

    + Strong analytical and technical skills required

    + Strong communication and interpersonal skills; results-oriented; able to work autonomously and in a team environment

    + Self-starter with initiative and ability to handle multiple tasks

    + Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with significant deadlines- multi-tasker a plus

    + Dependable and can follow through on all assignments

    + Oracle Hyperion experience preferred but not required

    + Peoplesoft experience preferred but not required

    + Maximo CMMS experience preferred but not required

    + COUPA experience preferred but not required

    + Some overtime required
