Qualifications:

+ **Minimum 1-year previous working experience as a Direct Support Professional**

+ Ability to build rapport with patients

+ Compassionate and caring demeanor

+ Familiarity with medical terminology

+ CPR card issued by the American Heart Association

+ Must have up to date certification in the state of **VT**

Responsibilities:

+ Assisting clients with daily living activities (eating, bathing, dressing, hygiene)

+ Supporting clients with mobility and transportation

+ Helping with household tasks (cleaning, cooking, laundry)

+ Monitoring and documenting client's progress and health

+ Administering medications (if trained and permitted)

+ Encouraging independence and life skills development

+ Providing companionship and emotional support

+ Supporting clients in community activities and social interactions

+ Ensuring safety and well-being at all times

+ Communicating with families and healthcare providers as needed
