We are looking for:

A Senior Scientist to support the Coatings business segment of Syensqo Novecare at the R&I Center in Bristol, Pa. The position is devoted to the support of current technologies, reapplication of existing products in new applications as well as supporting the development of new products for various applications in waterborne paints and coatings.

+ Formulate paint and perform testing for waterborne coatings and paints.

+ Support the technical development of new products in additives and polymers for waterborne systems.

+ Plans daily activities, follows SOPs or detailed instructions.

+ Brings observations, unexpected results, summarizes data and helps analyzing results with senior chemists.

+ Develop new applications with existing technologies.

+ Maintain a safe and clean work area and follow safety policies and standards.

You will bring:

+ B.S. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Material Science; higher degree preferred.

+ 5+ years of experience working with products and technologies in coatings, paints and adhesives.

+ Customer support and technical service experience with the use of additives in waterborne paint applications is preferred.

+ Strong team player and excellent collaboration skill.

+ Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written..

You will get:

+ Competitive salary and benefits package.

+ The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is $85,000.00 to $130,000.00 per year. Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.

+ 16, or more, weeks of maternity/paternity and co-parenting leave, according to local regulations
