The US Private Bank Tax Product Owner plays a pivotal role within Trusts and Estates and Tax Operations (TETO) in setting strategy & driving change, overseeing the management and enhancement of existing capabilities and development of new ones.
As a Product Manager in TETO, you will be responsible of ensuring the success of tax products by defining product vision, goals, objectives, and key results (OKRs), prioritizing delivery, and maximizing the business value of investments. This includes the collection and validation of tax data; calculation and remittance of tax withholding; and tax reporting both to clients and the IRS, all in compliance with tax regulations.
Responsibilities
+ Own/support the product vision, goals and objectives, define requirements, focus on outcomes, and prioritize delivery in order to maximize the business value of investments
+ Drive product level strategic & tactical decisions
+ Advocate for funding, defining benefits and building strong business cases
+ Define product level OKRs and measure progress towards objectives
+ Engage stakeholders and represent the Tax vision, strategy, and product roadmap with key senior stakeholders and in high-visibility forums, including a Product Cabinet
+ Embody true "customer-obsession", understanding pain points and developing solutions to address them
+ Develop clear documentation on scope, business requirements, use cases, workflows, etc. to support research, design, development and roll-out
+ Translate strategic decisions into executable actions in story (Epic/ Jira) form and drive product sprint planning
+ Support evolution of the team's Agile processes to support continuous improvement
+ Develop and maintain deep relationships with delivery partners including senior leaders in the Business, Technology, Design, Operations, and control functions across lines of business
+ Demonstrate governance by ensuring that: (a) work streams and initiatives are tracked and actively managed, (b) KPI's are agreed, measured and tracked, (c) deliverables are properly prioritized and sequenced, (d) risks are addressed and status measured, and (e) deliveries are successful.
Qualifications
+ Strong Business Acumen and an ability to prioritize
+ 10+ years of experience in product management, program management, business analysis or technology delivery
+ Active participation strategic or transformational change
+ Proven ability to execute via successful internal partnerships and the ability to influence people at all levels across a broad variety of job functions
+ Excellent leadership skills - of product, programs, projects, teams and/or employees
+ Demonstrated teamwork and partnership - so as to develop strong relationships with Technology, others in Tax Operations, and key user communities
+ Structured thinker, effective communicator with excellent written communication skills.
+ Ability to crisply articulate complex technical concepts to senior audiences with poise and confidence
+ Prior experience working on regulatory programs required; experience with US Tax regulations a strong plus
+ Relevant experience in Wealth Management, Asset Management or Digital Banking desired
+ Understanding of, and experience with, AWM common capabilities and/or JPMorgan automation tools desired
