    Healthcare Intake Specialist – Order Management Team

     

    Overview: The

    Order Management team ensures patients receive timely therapy by verifying

    insurance coverage and clinical eligibility. The role involves qualifying

     

    orders for device delivery, ensuring both patient care and reimbursement

     

    accuracy.

     

    Core

    Responsibilities:

    + Validate insurance coverage and clinical status for therapy eligibility.

    + Collaborate with sales, prescribers, patients, and internal teams.

    + Ensure orders meet payer and regulatory requirements.

    + Communicate financial responsibility to patients when needed.

    Required

    Qualifications:

    + High school diploma or GED.

    + 3+ years in insurance authorization, verification, or medical billing OR a bachelor’s degree in healthcare.

    + Strong interpersonal and computer skills (especially Excel).

     

    Preferred

    Qualifications:

    + Experience with health insurance claims, billing, or authorization.

    + 2+ years using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

    + Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.

    + Self-motivated and disciplined for hybrid remote work.

    + Skilled in interpreting payer requirements and clinical documentation.

     

    Work

    Environment:

    + Must be local to San Antonio, TX.

    + Hybrid remote with quarterly onsite requirements (Mon–Thurs).

    + Equipment shipped; some accessories must be picked up onsite.

    + Must use wired internet connection.

    + Flexible 8-hour shifts between 7am–8pm (Mon–Fri); occasional Saturdays possible.

    + Contract-to-hire position (up to 2 years).

    + Conversion based on performance and availability.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
