Technical Program Manager/Business Analyst

Hybrid | Honolulu, Hawaii | Contract | Monday to Friday

Description

An experienced Business Analyst/Program Manager is needed to lead requirements gathering and process documentation for a

critical analytics and software initiative. This role focuses on defining requirements for Independent Power

Producers (IPPs), supporting a Databricks-centric solution for Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) calculations,

and contributing to system enhancements for Invoice Management. The ideal candidate brings deep

experience in data and analytics projects, with hands-on familiarity in Azure and Databricks environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with business stakeholders to elicit, clarify, and document requirements for analytics and

software solutions.

• Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications for developers and data engineers.

• Collaborate with technical teams to ensure alignment with Azure and Databricks architecture.

• Create and manage backlog items, user stories, acceptance criteria, and testing requirements.

• Facilitate workshops, requirements sessions, and solution walkthroughs with stakeholders.

• Serve as a liaison between business and technical teams to ensure alignment and successful delivery.

• Maintain traceability of requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

• Support change management and training efforts related to new analytics solutions.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst in software development or data/analytics projects; application

development experience preferred.

• Hands-on knowledge of data platforms, especially Azure and/or Databricks.

• Strong understanding of data pipelines, ETL processes, BI/reporting tools, and analytics workflows.

• Demonstrated ability to write user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and technical

documentation.

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate between technical and non-technical

stakeholders.

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools such as Azure DevOps or ServiceNow.

• Experience with stakeholder engagement and cross-functional collaboration

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
