Research Associate
JOB SUMMARY
Dr. Ido Davidesco at Boston College Lab-to-Classroom Research Group, seeks to hire a full-time Research Coordinator. The Research Coordinator will work on the Boston College Chestnut Hill campus at with some travel around the Boston metro area.
The Research Coordinator will work closely with Dr. Davidesco and the Lab-to-Classroom team to oversee research activities across multiple federally-funded research projects. These projects involve developing and implementing STEM curriculum at the high school level and collection and analysis of eye tracking and Electroencephalography (EEG) data in both laboratory and school settings.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Research Support
+ Assist with the development of curriculum materials, study protocols and participant-facing assessments and materials.
+ Recruit teachers, schools, and study participants. This may require travel within the Boston metro area.
+ Coordinate project timelines, schedules, and meetings for the research team and participants.
+ Assist in the collection of data in laboratory and school settings.
+ Monitor the organization and entry of research data.
+ Support grant management and assist in the preparation of grant progress reports to ensure adherence to funding regulations and requirements.
+ Support manuscript preparation.
+ Perform other research-related duties as required.
+ Project Management
+ Maintain project-related website and project documentation, including plans, reports, and meeting minutes, providing regular updates on project status and performance.
+ Assist in the preparation and monitoring of project budgets, tracking expenses, ordering research equipment and supplies, and processing invoices.
+ Assist with the training and supervision of research staff.
APPOINTMENT TERMS
The start date for this position is anticipated to start ASAP – preferably in fall 2025. The position is for an initial one-year appointment and is expected to be renewed for a second year.

Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
+ Bachelor's degree in psychology, neuroscience, cognitive science, education, or a related field.
+ Previous research experience involving human subjects.
+ Previous research coordinator or project management experience.
+ Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
+ Ability to travel to off-site locations for work.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
+ Two to three years of post-degree experience or a Master's degree.
+ Experience in eye tracking and/or EEG research.
+ Experience working in schools
+ Experience with participant-facing research roles (e.g. consent, data collection)
+ Programming (e.g., python) and/or statistical skills (e.g., analysis using R)
