Job Summary
_Investment Banking Summer_ _Analysts_ _(part of the Capital Markets & Advisory area)_ are given a high level of responsibility on matters of business significance in a specific industry or product-focused team. Summer Analysts work with a variety of financial products, including public and private debt and equity financings, mergers and acquisitions, and financial advisory for a specified period of time. Summer Analysts will enhance their financial analysis skills, develop a deep understanding of capital markets and clients, and contribute and generate ideas on projects with significant scope and impact. Summer Analysts on the Business Development team are expected to work alongside the team throughout our lead generation process, including high-level research projects, creation of original work product and presentations, and participation in drafting sessions, new business proposal sessions, and due diligence meetings.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
+ Work with the team to cover the following relationship channels from a relationship management, education, and transaction origination perspective:
+ Private Equity firms
+ Law firms
+ Accounting firms
+ Raymond James’ own proprietary wealth advisory channel
+ Apply financial analysis, business experience, and market knowledge to generate client leads, while advising business owner clients and prospects on their strategic options.
+ Collaborate with Senior Bankers to develop strategies for client presentations and create unique materials.
+ Develop an understanding of investment banking transaction processes and industry-specific sectors.
+ Analyze current events in respective industry groups and provide meaningful input about the impact of critical issues in the news that are relevant to current and prospective clients and deals.
+ Maintain group databasesand CRM systems as requested for tracking and analysis.
+ Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned, including duties requiring independent judgment and discretion on matters of significance to the business.

Education/** **Previous** **Experience** **:
+ Eligible applicants must be legally authorized to work in the US and not require visa sponsorship now or in the future (including beyond OPT/EAD).
