TheBusiness Services Department is seeking anAccountant Supervisor 2 who will play a vital leadership role in managing the financial health of both the Louisiana Educational Television Authority (LETA) and the Foundation for Excellence in Louisiana Public Broadcasting (FELPB). You’ll oversee combined annual budgets of more than $16 million, ensure compliance with state and federal standards, and provide trusted financial guidance that supports the mission of public broadcasting in Louisiana.
Minimum Qualifications
Six years of experience in accounting, auditing, financial operations, payroll, or banking; OR
Six years of full-time experience in any field plus twenty-four semester hours in accounting plus three years of experience in accounting, auditing, financial operations, payroll, or banking; OR
A bachelor’s degree with twenty-four semester hours in accounting plus three years of experience in accounting, auditing, financial operations, payroll, or banking; OR
A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, management, economics, or statistics plus three years of experience in accounting, auditing, financial operations, payroll, or banking; OR
An advanced degree in accounting, finance, business administration, management, economics, quantitative methods, or statistics plus two years of experience in accounting, auditing, financial operations, payroll, or banking; OR
Possession of a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license plus one year of experience in accounting, auditing, financial operations, payroll, or banking.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
The ideal candidate is an experienced financial professional with strong skills in budgeting, reporting, and compliance. You excel at leading teams, managing complex financial operations, and communicating clearly with leadership. Your expertise ensures accuracy, accountability, and the long-term financial health of the organization.
+ Manage all aspects of budgeting, accounting, and financial reporting to support agency operations and strategic goals.
+ Prepare and reconcile financial statements, ledgers, and reports; monitor expenditures and revenues.
+ Oversee cash flow, accounts receivable, audits, and special financial projects.
+ Provide accurate financial analysis and specialized reports to leadership for decision-making and long-term planning.
+ Supervise and mentor Accounting Department staff, handling hiring, evaluations, and daily assignments.
+ Serve as backup for Business Office leadership when needed, contributing to the continuity of operations.
Position-Specific Details:
Appointment Type: Promotional (open to all LETA permanent status employees)
Salary Information: The listed pay rate is the minimum compensation that may be offered. The job title and salary will be set based on the candidate’s qualifications and experience, in the Compensation Section.
Work Schedule: Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday-Friday
