Position Title:

Short Term Substitute Technology Teacher

Veronica E. Connor Middle School, 7:25 to 2:25

Salary:

Per diem $170 with increase/retroactive to collective bargaining agreement after 40 days.

Duties:

Candidate will teach Technology Education to middle school students in grades 6-8.

Minimum Qualifications:

NYS valid Technology Education certification; possess a deep understanding of NYS technology education and curriculum standards; ability to use assessments to differentiate instruction and improve student achievement; ability to collaborate with grade level team, department staff, and special education teachers; strong use of technology to support

instruction and able to articulate the uses of technology to advance instruction and engage students; strong written and oral communication skills;strong work ethic; positively engages with families; willingness to be a leader in effective teaching practices, methodology, and curriculum.

Qualifications Desired:

Previous teaching experience at the middle school level preferred
