    S ummary/General Description Of Job:

     

    Amentum is seeking a highly skilled **Shop Supervisor** to lead and coordinate multi-disciplinary transportation crews including vehicle, Heavy Duty & Diesel, Forklifts, Cranes, and VTE for maintenance, and support services at Naval Base Kitsap (NBK) under the West Sound BOSC contract. This role requires a dynamic leader with hands-on experience in all aspects of vehicle maintenance, cranes and rigging, and scheduling. The Shop Supervisor will oversee personnel, manage logistics and operations, and ensure timely and efficient execution of work orders and construction-related activities.

    Essential Duties & Job Functions:

    • Supervise and coordinate daily operations across multiple trades and disciplines.

    • Lead teams in vehicle, Heavy Duty & Diesel, Forklifts, Cranes, and VTE , and operational support.

    • Manage work control processes, including scheduling, prioritization, and execution of work orders.

    • Oversee crane and rigging operations, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.

    • Collaborate with logistics and operations teams to optimize resource allocation and workflow.

    • Maintain accurate records and reports using MS Office Suite and other management tools.

    • Communicate effectively with internal teams, government representatives, and subcontractors.

    • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.

    Accountable For:

    • The proper use of tools and equipment commonly used in the vehicle, Heavy Duty & Diesel, Forklifts, Cranes, and VTE maintenance field.

    • Completing all mandated training requirements per government and management directives.

    • Timely and cost-effective performance of duties.

    • Timely completion and accuracy of all departmental work.

    • Dealing with a variety of people in a professional, courteous manner in diversified situations.

    • Adherence to established company safety policies and good industrial and office safety practices.

    • Compliance with company Standard Operating Procedures and Personnel policies and procedures.

    • Having the ability to work well under pressure.

    Job Requirements (Education, Experience, Professional Associations):

    Mandatory

    • Education: Associate’s degree

    • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of leadership and management experience in operations, logistics, or trade supervision.

    • Proven experience in at least three of the following areas:, vehicle, forklift and crane maintenance.

    • Strong background in Logistics Management, Operations Management, and Personnel Management.

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    • Ability to lead diverse teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

    • US Citizen

    • Valid Driver’s license

    • Ability to obtain and maintain Secret Clearance

    Preferred

    + Experience working on government or military contracts.

    + Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).

    + Current Secret Security Clearance

    Work Environment:

    + Work is performed in both office and field environments.

    + May require occasional lifting, climbing, and exposure to outdoor conditions.

    + Must be able to pass background checks and obtain necessary base access credentials.

     

    The base salary range for this position **is $80,000 to $95,000** . Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
