JOB SUMMARY (Overview of job): The Outreach Business Office (OBO) is a new and flourishing department within St. Peter’s Health. Currently, the OBO is focused on Laboratory and Diagnostic Imaging with future plans and desires to grow our services above and beyond. We need you and your ideas to help us meet the needs of our community and non-affiliated providers, while supporting internal departments and changing the culture to achieve Gold Standard health care. The goal of this position is to provide a world-class customer service experience for all we interact with. Maintaining and growing partnerships and relationships while also providing product education and best practices in health care are top priority. This position will work with a variety of parties such as physician offices, laboratories, patients and key stakeholders (to name a few); all to ensure that client needs are met and addressed genuinely, accurately and efficiently. This role is focused on promoting the OBO and its services. You will have the opportunity to generate new business, find new trends in health care, and penetrate and retain existing business through the Mission, Vison and Values of St. Peter’s Health!
KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE: Customer service experience and sales preferred. Education and/or experience in Lab, Diagnostic Imaging and/or Business and Computer Technology preferred. EPIC experience strongly preferred. Project management and problem-solving skills required.
EDUCATION: A high-school diploma, GED, or HiSET equivalent required; Associates or Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY: Valid and current driver’s license and clean driving record required. Travel is required (up to 50%)
Aptitudes: Demonstrated ability to communicate in a professional and courteous manner with all customers. Demonstrated ability to effectively complete assigned work while experiencing multiple interruptions. Demonstrated ability to manage complex and multiple tasks within assigned time period and the ability to be flexible as the workload demands and to work with a variety of personnel. Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal direction, perform detailed assignments and compile information with accuracy. Ability to deal with multiple stressors, deadlines, and difficult situations while meeting patient’s needs and providing superior customer service to all. Ability to work as a team player.
