Job Description:

The Psychiatric or Mental/Behavioral Health LPN is responsible and accountable for the application of the nursing process and the delivery of patient care in the psychiatric unit of a hospital, mental health/behavioral health hospital, or they can be responsible for care in community settings.

The LPN must demonstrate the ability to make clinical judgments in an effective and efficient manner with the supervision of a Registered Nurse and in collaboration with the care team.

This role will be inside of the residential crisis unit which is a brand new BEAUTIFUL building! It is currently a 6 bed program but working on officially approval for it to be a 12 bed facility.

Small team but everything is right there onsite! ??

+ Night shift/3rd shift--12 hour mainly but one 8 hour shift with BUILT IN OT for one week!

+ Crisis residential unit (clients only, 3 day intensive 24 hour program)

+ Can leave against medical advice if they decide.

+ Psych services, medical, RNs, LPNs, MA, therapists, food provided, they do group activities. 6 beds currently.

+ Brand new beautiful building. No bed pans, but taking vitals, passing meds.

+ Addressing mental illness NOT A DRUG DETOX CENTER!

+ Every other weekend off

Minimum Requirements:

+ Current LPN license in state of assignment

+ 1 year experience in a psychiatric care setting required

+ Current CPR if applicable

+ TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

+ Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)

+ Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

+ Must be at least 18 years of age
