    Minimum Qualifications:

    4 years professional direct related experience in administrative work, systems analysis, management analysis, program planning, program research, program evaluation or engineering; additional years of experience as described above are also required. A bachelor’s degree from a college or university and three years of professional experience in administrative work, systems analysis, management analysis, program planning, program research, program evaluation or engineering can substitute for the required experience.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    Preference may be given to applicants having administrative or clerical experience with the State of Florida's procurement procedures and working knowledge of Ariba on Demand, MyFloridaMarketPlace, P-Card system and policies, Laserfisch, or FLAIR.

    Requirements:

    Employment in this position is contingent upon a satisfactory Level 1 background check at no cost to the candidate.

     

    Office hours are from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Eastern Standard Time, Monday through Friday. Not eligible for Telework.

    Position Overview and Responsibilities:

    This is an administrative position to provide high-level operational and administrative support to the staff in the Marine Mammal program.

     

    The primary duties of this position will involve overseeing staff purchasing processes, including creating, processing, and tracking purchasing requisitions, contract management, and invoices as well as assisting staff with credit card payments. Additional duties will include managing section resources such as cell phones, property, and monthly fuel log submissions and will also serve as the coordinator for our annual open house “MarineQuest” event. Performs other duties as assigned.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    Knowledge in using Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook and Adobe Pro

     

    Possess good customer service, telephone and clerical skills

     

    Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

     

    Ability to work independently

     

    Ability and desire to work in an extremely fast-paced, team environment

     

    Ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines Ability to act on changing priorities and responsibilities

     

    Ability to organize and file documents

    Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others
