We have an exciting opportunity for a pattern maker on our production team in Los Angeles, California!
Summary:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Technical Designer with Pattern Making experience. Expansive knowledge in women’s and men's active wear, woven, and knits is needed. Someone who has a real passion for construction and enjoys this line of work. As a Technical Designer, your primary role will be dedicated to creating size-inclusive, well-fitting, and high-quality garments. Ideally, someone who enjoys apparel, patterns, and solving construction puzzles is highly desired.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Manage product categories during fit sessions, collaborating closely with the design team to execute fit intent.
+ Document fit sessions through detailed notes and photography; maintain organized archives.
+ Ability to articulate the fit issues and present solutions during the fit session to cross-functional teams.
+ Accountable to resolve fit issues and clearly communicate to the vendors via PLM system, Illustrator, and/or pattern correction w/ a 24-72 hour turn time.
+ Own grading and ensure consistent sizing and fit across styles.
+ Develop and standardize fit blocks, construction methods, and quality guidelines across multiple brands.
+ Create technical garment sketches and precise construction callouts.
+ Fix, adjust, and refine garment patterns using Tukatech to ensure accuracy and production feasibility.
+ Partner with Product Development (PD) on hindsight analysis related to fit performance.
+ Create, update, and maintain all spec sheets in PLM systems.
+ Ensure accuracy of all tech packs for production, including Points of Measure (POMs), Bill of Materials (BOM), construction callouts, and spec changes.
+ Participate in cross-functional pass-off meetings to effectively communicate garment specifications.
+ Establish and monitor tracking reports for sample approvals, spec updates, and related milestones.
+ Coordinate with design and production teams to ensure garments are production-ready and aligned with company timelines.
Requirements
Requirements & Skills:
+ Proven experience as a Pattern maker with a minimum of 5+ years of experience.
+ Proficiency in using MS Office, Adobe Illustrator, and PLM systems.
+ Tukatech Experience Required.
+ Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
+ Detail-oriented with a keen eye for fit accuracy and precision.
+ Bring expertise in textiles, pattern making, grading, and construction.
+ Knowledge of garment specs and grading.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively within a team.
+ The job will be on-site M-F.
+ Maintain speed, accuracy, and professionalism in high-volume settings.
