    Job Description

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Education

    + Bachelor's degree in Business, Transportation or Communications

    + In lieu of Bachelor's degree, an Associate's degree and two (2) years on the job training in parking operations to substitute the minimum education requirement, in addition to experience stated below will be considered.

    Experience

    + Minimum of two (2) years of analytical and professional experience is required in parking operation, revenue collections, customer service, and financial revenue and transaction reporting.

    Certification/Licensure

    + Valid driver¿s license issued by motor vehicle authority of registered residence.

    Preferred

    + Experience working in a large complex parking operation, with 10,000 or more parking spaces.

    + An equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience will be considered that demonstrates effective and progressive experience in parking operations and revenue collections, customer service, and financial revenue and transaction reporting.

    Medical Group:

    Job Summary:

    This professional parking operations role supports the Manager, Parking Operations in either revenue/reporting or operations. Revenue responsibilities include tracking, analyzing, and reporting income from multiple parking-related sources (e.g., Park & Ride, Kiss & Ride, permits, bike parking, surcharges, leases, and specialty programs). It also involves monitoring equipment performance and jurisdictional collections. Operational duties focus on ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality parking facility performance, customer service, enforcement, and real-time monitoring, facility field audits, and issues resolution via the Parking Operations Control Center. The employee responds to public inquiries, resolves issues, and coordinates with staff, working independently with minimal supervision.

    Essential Functions

    + **Revenue & Reporting:**

    + Tracks, reports, and the analyzes of customer service, revenue collection, revenue collection equipment performance and utilization of the Authority's parking facilities and assets, including Parking and Ride fee collections, Kiss and Ride hourly parking collection, reserve permit revenue collections and refund processing, bike parking revenue collections, surcharge revenue, lease payments, revenue from specialty parking programs and other multi-model access programs, revenue collection by local jurisdictions for Authority's owned parking assets and any other revenue generated from programming of the Authority's parking facilities and assets.

    + Reconciles and analyzes all customer service, daily count, utilization, and revenue collection equipment and transaction data and prepares reports and analysis of findings.

    + Reviews parking exception transaction data, initiates detailed analysis each day, and prepares standardized reports, which identify parking facility operational activity and anticipated exception transactions.

    + Prepares reports on parking revenue generation and activities that are routinely generated on a daily, weekly, monthly, annually, and/or alternative basis for scheduling.

    + Conducts detailed field audits of parking facilities. Prepares reports and analysis of findings.

    + Conducts audits of parking equipment through testing, verifies the accuracy of the equipment counts and reports to within the specified tolerances, and checks for equipment malfunctions.

    + Maintains and supports the reserved parking, metered parking, bike parking, and other specialty parking programs and products.

    + Coordinates with the appropriate Authority staff to facilitate and resolve customer inquiries about the maintenance and/or maintenance deficiencies of the Authority's parking facilities and parking equipment.

    + Resolves any customers permit issues, complaints, and billing disputes as required. Handles account billing, transaction, and monthly reserve permit issues.

    + Performs related duties as assigned.

    + **Parking Operations:**

    + Ensures the safe, effective, efficient, and quality operations of the parking operations center regarding daily parking operations at the Authority's parking facilities, quality customer service, accuracy of information flow, and effective management of parking resources in proportion to parking demand and service calls.

    + Monitors daily parking operations, provides quality customer service, and deploys resources as necessary to make required corrective actions to resolve problems.

    + Provides effective and efficient tracking and resolution of all customer service calls and equipment service calls. Prepares reports and analysis of findings on the timeliness and quality of the resolution process.

    + Maintains detailed work accomplishment records indicating operation difficulties, equipment malfunctions, and corrective actions taken to restore service.

    + Prepares reports on daily parking operations and activities that are routinely generated on a daily, weekly, monthly, annually, or other scheduled basis.

    + Works closely with AFC, OCC, and MOC and coordinates with the appropriate WMATA staff to facilitate and resolve customer inquiries regarding parking revenue collection and parking operations.

    + Responds to unexpected events and handles special events that impact parking operations.

    + Responds to parking facility realignments, relocations, new openings, and closures adjusting service and instituting service, operational, and customer service plans as required.

    + May work variable hours and variable shifts to cover the operating hours of the Authority's parking facilities.

    + Performs parking enforcement duties for all WMATA parking facilities.

    + Performs related duties as assigned.

    + Maintains and promotes awareness and accountability with safety policies and procedures while performing job functions. Promotes a positive safety culture and encourages reporting of safety concerns consistent with our Agency Safety Plan, other regulatory requirements within the Safety Management System and just culture principles.
