    Job Description

    deploying, and maintaining Linux systems (Red Hat, Ubuntu, Rocky Linux) for faculty and staff, with a focus on device management, OS deployment, and enterprise application support.

     

    • Collaborating with campus Linux server teams to ensure continuity and reliability of server operations through documented procedures and technical instructions.

    • Tier 1 & 2 Desktop Support: Providing hands-on support for Windows and macOS devices, including hardware troubleshooting, software installations, and application support (Adobe CC, Office 365, Zoom, MS Teams, etc.).

    Skills and Requirements

    • Bachelors in computer science or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.

    • 2+ years in IT roles with progressive responsibility.

    • Linux system administration (Red Hat, Ubuntu, Rocky Linux)

    • Core OS services: SSH, SFTP, NFS, DNS, DHCP, Samba, LDAP

    • Patch & vulnerability management

    • Device management tools: SCCM, JAMF, Intune

    • Scripting (bash, shell), cron jobs, user management

    • Networking fundamentals and tools (ping, traceroute, tcpdump)

    • Desktop support for Windows/macOS • Experience with Team Dynamix

    • Higher Education background
