• System Engineer

    Job Description

    This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex systems that align with the organization’s strategic objectives. Overseeing both hardware and software, with excellent troubleshooting skills, a focus on performance optimization, and a commitment to system reliability and security.

     

    • Design secure, scalable systems for new projects

    • Set up and connect hardware and software for smooth performance

    • Work with other teams to understand needs and build solutions

    • Monitor systems and fix issues quickly to keep things running

    • Keep clear documentation of system setups and processes

    • Test systems to make sure they meet goals and work well

    • Maintain and improve current systems, focusing on automation

    •  Help with updates, patches, and system improvements

    • Investigate problems and find long-term fixes

    • Handle backups and recovery plans for emergencies

    • Stay updated on new tech to improve systems

    • Be available for after-hours support as part of an on-call rotation

    Skills and Requirements

    • 5+ years of experience in systems engineering or a similar technical role

    • Strong grasp of system design and architecture

    • Skilled in Windows and Linux environments

    • Familiar with cloud platforms like AWS and Azure

    • Experience with virtualization tools (e.g., VMware)

    • Able to automate tasks using Python, Bash, or PowerShell

    • Good understanding of networking (VPNs, firewalls, load balancers)

    • Experience managing SQL Server databases with attention to performance and security • Bachelor’s degree in a tech-related field (like Computer Science or Engineering)

    • Certifications such as Network+ (CompTIA), CCNA (Cisco), or AWS Solutions Architect

    • Basic knowledge of DevOps tools and workflows

    • Hands-on experience with system security and security tools

    • General understanding of AI/ML technologies and what they need to run
