SUMMARY OF JOB
This position requires onsite presence 4 days/week.
The Chief Information Officer develops and implements the organization’s IT and telecommunication strategy to support the business goals. Works closely with Executive Management and other Health System stakeholders and partners to identify technology opportunities that improves the organization’s experience, enhances the quality of care for the patients and improves operational efficiency. Additional key areas of responsibility include planning, customer service, overseeing the successful delivery and optimization of systems that support business operations and the financial accountability for the information systems and telecommunications departments throughout HRHS.

The VP/CIO position has a responsibility to ensure the connection to mission is inherent in internal staff and is also responsible to engage partners and vendors in the mission of the System and ensure their actions are consistent with mission expectations.
RECRUITMENT REQUIREMENTS
+ Minimum of 10 years of progressive management experience in a healthcare system
+ BA/BS degree in computer science, business or Healthcare Administration required, MBA or Master’s degree is a plus
+ Successfully led a hospital Electronic Health Record implementation
+ Exceptional abilities in IT leadership, subject matter expertise and a track record in developing and implementing IT and telecommunication strategies that provide value to the customer base
+ Strong financial acumen ensuring that technology expenditures align with the organizations’ financial goals
+ Strong experience overseeing IT operations, enterprise systems, cybersecurity and vendor management
+ Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills are required
+ Ability to direct and manage multiple complex projects at the same time. Ability to ensure processes and workflows are reviewed, changed and optimized as part of all technology deployment.
+ Ability to work in a high-pressure environment and make sound decisions in emergency situations
+ Highly self-motivated and directed
+ Knowledge of and interest in non acute care delivery systems (lifecare, homecare, hospice) is preferred.
+ Must be a change agent and facilitator for the organization
+ Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of the IT user community
