The role you'll contribute** **:
The Medical Assistant provides appropriate care to patients within the scope of Florida Statues Title XXXII: Regulations of Professionals and Occupations. Chapter 458. Medical Assistants assist in various aspects of medical practice until the direct supervisor and responsibility of a physician. Responsibilities may include patient care management, administrative and clinical procedures. In all practice endeavors the medical Assistant will adhere to ethical and professional practice. The CMA/RMA II role begins the leadership ladder through expertise in a specialty, training and precepting new team members or externs, assists with evaluating current workflows and patient experience needs to improve the standards of care.

Reviews appointment bookings in advance and ensure patients receive appointment reminders.
Verify and validate insurance prior to appointment date. * Completes check in process, securing copays and balance amounts.
Verifies consent forms are completed and up to date.
Maintains timely flow of patients and keep patients up to date of any delays. * Responds to and returns in-coming telephone calls in a timely manner.
Completes chart abstraction/prep chart activities prior to patient visit to ensure lab, imaging and referrals complete prior to the visit
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed** **:
High School Grad or Equiv
Technical/Vocational School
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)
Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS)
