Here’s a glimpse into your day to day:
+ Provide project management support on Large Above ground Tank Inspection projects, and as needed for other inspection projects.
+ Ensure project deliverables meet TAI and client expectations
+ Manage all phases of a project - setup, execution, and closeout
+ Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets.
+ Provide a single point of contact between TAI and client – getting info from client to carry out successful inspection project, providing the client with necessary information and resolving most project issues with the client.
+ Prepare initial budget, tracking overall costs, approving pending invoices, and pursuing change orders as required.
+ Perform overall project quality control.
+ Visit field to scope out projects.
+ Support proposal development by assisting with scope development, cost estimating and execution plan coordination.
+ Experience and knowledge of Magnetic Flux Leakage Technology (MFL).
+ Experience and knowledge of floating roofs and seal inspections.
+ Meet with clients to provide recommendations on the repair/ replacement/alteration of plant equipment as required for safe operation.
+ Maintains a safe, secure and healthy environment by adhering to Company/Customer safety standards and practices and to legal regulations, alerting others regarding potential hazards or concern.
+ Conduct daily safety risk assessments on routine and non-routine job tasks.
+ Scheduling activities related to inspection.
+ Prepare isometric drawings and field sketches of piping for pipe inspections
+ Review and interpret P&ID’s
+ Writes detailed inspection reports and maintains documentation of inspection activities.
+ Identifies circumstances that necessitate the use of proper safety procedures and equipment.
+ Communicate with clients and other parties in such a manner as to benefit the professional reputation of the company.
You’ll be a perfect fit if you have:
+ High School Diploma, some college coursework preferred.
+ API 653 Certification.
+ Have a minimum of 10 years’ experience working as an API Inspector within related industry
+ At least 5 years’ experience managing large Above Ground Tank Inspection projects.
+ Prior experience supervising a project team
+ Self-motivated individual with the ability to work independently and oversee large projects.
+ Experienced with using Magnetic Flux Leakage Technology (MFL)
+ Demonstrated ability to perform complete inspection reports for equipment or piping.
+ Inspection: Know the significance of what is observed and recognize the potential significance of what cannot be observed. Critical-minded and curiosity as to conditions and findings.
+ Documentation: Clarity, comprehensiveness, and professional presentation of reports.
+ High reach operation ability.
+ Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
+ Travel: Will travel up to 50% out of town.
_Physical Requirements:_
+ Capacity to perform physically demanding work: Climbing, pipe rack walking, tight-spot body positioning/maneuvering.
+ Must be able to remain in a stationary position as necessary to complete assigned tasks.
+ The person in this position needs to frequently move about client’s facilities and offices to access equipment and complete tasks.
+ Consistently ascend and descend portable and fixed ladders, scaffolding and other equipment used to reach equipment at various levels of height some of which maybe in excess of 25 feet in a safe manner.
+ Must be able to ascend and descend a large quantity of stairways at any given time.
+ Frequently move tools and equipment weighing up to 50lbs across client facilities as needed to complete tasks.
+ Occasionally lift and move equipment in excess of 100lbs in a safe manner.
+ Must be able to work in outdoor weather conditions as needed.
Compensation and Benefits:
+ Pay: $55-65/hour (based upon experience)
+ Annual Profit Sharing Bonus (variable)
