Description
Responsibilities:
+ Use simple drawings, verbal or written orders and instructions to perform deburring operations.
+ Use various hand tools such as files, emery and crocus cloth, portable power grinder, deburring and brush machines to remove burrs, keyway widths, repair tapped holes, break edges, scrape pit marks and clean parts.
+ Stamp part number, catalogue number and company name on part using tools provided.
+ Repair defective plating. Remove grind and shave marks and blend and/or repair finished diameters.
+ Perform visual check of part for quality of part and work.
+ Monitor quality of own work and report to supervisor defective material, unusual conditions and operating difficulties.
+ Maintain required time, production and quality records
+ Maintain work areas and equipment used in a clean and orderly condition.
+ Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures
Position Requirements
Requirements:
+ High School diploma or equivalent required
+ Strong attention to detail and accuracy
+ Ability to follow written or verbal instructions
+ Visual Acuity
+ Some lifting of various weights, both assisted and unassisted
+ Use crane or other device for heavy lifting
+ Must be able to handle large and heavy parts using overhead cranes and other material handling equipment
+ Shop environment, exposed to shop elements
+ May work in tight and/or cramped spaces
+ Walking, standing, lifting, stooping, reaching
+ Strong attention to detail and accuracy
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team
+ Teamwork and communication skills
+ Must be authorized to work in the US
