    Summary Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) is looking for the best and brightest to join our Team! MCCS is a comprehensive program that supports and enhances the quality of life for Marines, their families, and others in the Marine Corps Community. We offer a team oriented environment comprised of military personnel, civilian employees, contractors and volunteers who keep the organization functioning smoothly and effectively. Responsibilities Performs the full range of administrative practices related to rental and inspection of hotel or recreational housing facilities, with key responsibilities to ensure hotel operation accounting is correctly processed and accurately recorded during the overnight or graveyard shift. Incumbent must be able to work autonomously, independently, and alone while performing the following responsibilities: auditing, balancing, posting, annotating, and reporting of guest services transactions using an automated system. Ensures reports for management are complete and ready before the end of the work shift. Accepts reservations, registers guests, assigns rooms, issues keys, calculates and posts all charges to guests' account, presents statement, collects payments, maintains records, manually and/or on a personal computer. May perform room inspections and prepare deficiency reports. Receives customer complaints and requests, aids manager in assisting guests in finding solutions to their problems. Maintains eligibility lists for rooms. Prepares reports concerning reservations and high balances. May coordinate handling and movement of furniture and supplies between rooms and may maintain records of inventory of supplies and property. May be responsible for change fund. Answers telephone and operates telephone system. Relays messages to guests. Receives, sorts, and distributes mail. Assists manager with maintenance or guest problems. Calls emergency maintenance if warranted and follows through to ensure completion. Responsible for video rental/equipment or retail merchandise. Performs overnight guest services duties such as newspaper delivery. Assists guests in answering questions about location of activities and tourist attractions. Provides and enforces World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy. Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner. Takes action to solve problems quickly and is a proper point of contact for help when problems arise. Adheres to safety regulations and standards. Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor. Adheres to established standards of actively supporting the principles of the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment. In addition, this is a white-collar position where occasional lifting up to 20 lbs may be required. Performs other related duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment See Duties and Qualifications EVALUATIONS: Qualifications Minimum two year of experience performing the full range of administrative practices related to rental and inspection of hotel or housing facilities. Accounting and/or booking experience is helpful, with basic cash handing a requirement. Must have skill sets to handle customer complaints, prepare reports, and control inventory of furniture, household supplies and equipment. Knowledge to provide general assistance to other facility personnel and to perform a range of services such as accepting reservations, registering guests, assigning rooms, issuing keys, calculating and posting charges to guests' account, presenting statements, collecting payments, and maintaining records, manually and/or on a Personal Computer. May perform room inspections and may prepare deficiency reports.
