PDS Tech Commercial, Inc. in partnership with a Fortune 500 company, is looking to hire Maintenance Mechanics to support our clients peak retail season in Katy/Brookshire, TX. These fixed contract roles (with potential to be hired on) won’t last long! Apply Today!
+ **Shift** : 3rd shift 9PM to 7AM (Working Monday-Thurs)
+ **Pay Rate:** $34/hourly
+ **Duration:** 3-month contract (with potential to be hired on at end of season)!

What You’ll Be Doing
+ Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on mechanical material handling equipment, including transportation conveyors, sortation systems, and forklifts. Perform emergency mechanical repairs to failed material handling systems
+ Troubleshoot electrical control systems inclusive of motors, and their associated controls to the PLC output. Must have the ability to install/setup VFD’s, as well as servo motor controls, and troubleshoot peripheral control devices to the PLC input.
+ Perform maintenance projects on conveyor systems to include: installation, removal, and process improvement changes.
+ Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
+ Identify and locate required repair parts for failed systems
+ Maintain accurate record keeping such as: work orders, time sheets, and parts requests.
Your Qualifications
+ Must have the ability to read and interpret blueprints or schematics.
+ Must have knowledge of electrical motor control, strong electrical/mechanical skills; working with 30 – 480V.
+ Experience must include 5 – 8 years of progressive mechanical aptitude in a distribution or manufacturing environment. (conveyor systems highly preferred)
+ Expertise in welding, soldering, and cutting torch skills is required.
+ Cognizant of the expectation to be accountable for all company assets, to include: spare
+ parts, supplies, materials, tools, and general facility equipment.
+ Experience utilizing machines/equipment as follows: hand tools, drills, grinders, saws, multimeter, tachometer, welder, solderer, cutting torch, hydraulic gear puller, electric forklifts, pallet jacks, and platform lifts. (Arial Lift Certification highly preferred)
+ Must place the upmost importance on working safely and maintain a safe work environment for yourself and others, at all times.
Physical Requirements
+ Job requires ability to work in a warehouse environment, on a concrete floor all day.
+ Requires continuous, standing, walking, hearing, pushing, and pulling.
+ Consistent timeliness and regular attendance is necessary.
+ Frequently reaching, bending, stooping, talking, hearing (audio equipment), handling objects with hands and lifting to 50 lbs.
+ Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically.
+ This role requires full-time in-office presence, including to engage in in-person team interaction, meetings and collaboration, client support, mentoring, coaching, and/or feedback.

**Pay Details:** $34.00 per hour
