Quality Manager

NE Iowa: Manufacturing Environment (On site)

Full Time | Salary | Direct hire

We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead and develop our client’s Quality team, ensuring products consistently meet customer specifications and industry standards. This role is hands-on, highly collaborative, and critical to maintaining excellence across our production process.

Responsibilities

+ Lead and manage the Quality Department team.

+ Oversee inspections at all stages of production, including first-piece approvals, in-process checks, and final inspections.

+ Train employees on inspection methods, quality procedures, and use of measuring equipment.

+ Use inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, and CMM machines.

+ Audit processes, identify defects, and implement corrective actions.

+ Address customer concerns and maintain strong communication with internal teams and clients.

+ Support ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems.

+ Apply AIAG core tools (APQP, FMEA, PPAP, MSA).

+ Drive process improvement, lean initiatives, and continuous improvement projects.

Qualifications

+ Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing/fabrication environment.

+ Prior management or supervisory experience preferred.

+ Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.

+ Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.

+ Excellent leadership and communication skills.

+ Proficiency with computers and quality-related software.
