Patient Transporter – Entry Level | Part-Time | Day Shift
**Schedule:** Three-10 hr shifts, Th-Sat 9:00 AM to 7:30 PM
**Pay Range: $18.98 – $28.51/hour + $2.75/hour evening shift differential after 3 PM.** The hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to education, training, work experience, terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement, seniority, etc.
**FTE:** 0.75 (Part Time)

What You’ll Do
+ Safely transport patients using wheelchairs or stretchers.
+ Deliver supplies, specimens, and equipment throughout the hospital.
+ Assist with room setups and equipment transfers.
+ May be required to function as coordinator to facilitate patient transports.
+ Maintain cleanliness of transport equipment.
+ Provide friendly, respectful service to patients and staff.
What We’re Looking For
+ High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
+ Basic computer and customer service skills.
+ Ability to work with people of all ages and backgrounds.
+ BLS (Basic Life Support) through American Heart Association or American Red Cross required upon hire.
+ A positive attitude and willingness to learn!

Working Conditions
Lifting
+ Patient handling no greater than 35 lbs. without the use of assistive equipment and/or devices (NIOSH).
+ Ability to move around area with occasional sitting.
+ Fine motor skills to be able to grasp and control medical equipment (i.e. stretchers, wheelchairs, etc.).
+ Frequent reaching/ grasping.
+ Occasional bending/ stooping.
+ Push/Pull: Frequently up to 25 lbs. force. Occasional up to 50 lbs. force.
Environmental Conditions
+ Exposure to biohazard, body fluids and airborne particles.
+ Exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals.
+ Time spent on site in medical/hospital setting.
Mental/Visual
+ Vision and hearing required within normal limits (glasses, contacts, hearing aids permitted).
+ Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.
