Walmart Supply Chain is seeking a strategic and operationally savvy tech leader. As the Senior Manager, Advanced Analytics, you will lead the development of modeling and analytic mechanisms used by operational leaders to execute optimized labor plans. Senior Manager, Advanced Analytics – Supply Chain Workforce Optimization

This role is a strategic and operational tech leadership position within the Walmart Supply Chain. You will lead the development of models and analytical mechanisms used by operational leaders to execute optimized labor plans. Reporting to the Director, Advanced Analytics, this role requires a combination of strategic, technical, and tactical skills to improve productivity and automation, ultimately reducing our cost to serve.
Because the scope of the work is wide-ranging, this role requires an associate with a **broad set of skills** and the **desire to continuously learn and adapt** . Success will come from being **customer-focused, naturally curious, and highly motivated** to tackle new challenges, explore emerging technologies, and deliver practical solutions that have meaningful business impact.
This role offers a high degree of autonomy, allowing you to explore and implement the best technical solutions while partnering with teams across the supply chain network.
Responsibilities
+ **Workforce Optimization:** Develop and implement solutions to optimize the Supply Chain workforce. This includes owning and enhancing an existing Microsoft Excel–based process for labor planning and expanding it across distribution centers.
+ **Analytics & Tool Development:** Build tools and processes that streamline labor planning and decision-making, with a focus on automation, efficiency, and scalability.
+ **Power BI Reporting & Modeling:** Design, develop, and maintain Power BI data models and reports to improve visibility and enable data-driven decision-making.
+ **Python Development & GenAI:** Leverage Python for coding, script management, and the development of GenAI agents using large language models (LLMs).
+ **SQL & Data Management:** Write advanced SQL queries, manage data pipelines, and ensure data accuracy across multiple sources and business areas.
+ **Collaboration & Business Partnership:** Act as a subject matter expert for business partners, providing expertise on data, analytics, and reporting. Partner with stakeholders to understand business needs, align on goals, and deliver impactful solutions. Provide support, troubleshooting, and training to field users.
+ **Continuous Learning & Innovation:** Stay curious and actively explore new technologies, methods, and tools to improve workforce optimization and unlock new opportunities.
What You’ll Bring
+ Proficiency in advanced Excel spreadsheets for creating, maintaining, and improving business outcomes.
+ Experience working with Python, including script management and building GenAI agents leveraging large language models (LLMs).
+ Experience with Power BI, including data model creation and report/dashboard development.
+ Strong SQL skills for query writing, data management, and ensuring data accuracy.
+ Strong analytical skills with a drive to simplify complex problems and a passion for problem-solving.
+ The ability to work independently, think critically, and hold business partners accountable.
+ Skills in diplomacy and aligning stakeholders with competing priorities, including senior leaders.
+ A customer-obsessed mindset with a focus on understanding and addressing user needs.

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
