Position Summary...
What you'll do...
As a **Software Engineer III** , you will design, build, and scale next-generation AI-powered applications that directly impact business teams and member experiences. This role combines **full-stack engineering expertise** with **AI/ML platform development** , focusing on building **agentic AI applications** for business use cases and developing a **predictive AI training and inference platform** aligned with MLOps best practices.
You’ll partner closely with product, data science, MLOps, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into resilient, scalable, and secure AI solutions that drive measurable business value.
Responsibilities
Core Engineering Responsibilities
+ Participate in the discovery phase of projects to create high-level design by partnering with product management, project management, business, and UX teams.
+ Troubleshoot business and production issues by conducting root cause analysis, developing solutions, and implementing corrective actions.
+ Manage small to large-sized complex projects by translating requirements into technical solutions, writing code, conducting testing, and ensuring sustainable delivery.
+ Provide support to business teams by researching and implementing new solutions, guiding on technical feasibility, and identifying long-term strategies.
+ Mentor and provide guidance to small groups of engineers and offshore associates.
+ Ensure code quality, security, scalability, and maintainability across all deliverables.
AI & MLOps Focused Responsibilities
+ **Agentic AI Development** : Design and implement business-facing AI applications that leverage agentic workflows to automate, optimize, and enhance decision-making.
+ **Predictive AI Platform Engineering** : Build and scale platforms for predictive AI training and inference, enabling seamless experimentation, model deployment, and performance monitoring.
+ **MLOps Integration** : Incorporate industry best practices in CI/CD for ML, model versioning, reproducibility, monitoring, and automated retraining pipelines.
+ **Cross-functional Collaboration** : Work closely with data scientists, ML engineers, and business teams to operationalize AI models into production environments.
+ **Responsible AI Practices** : Ensure fairness, transparency, security, and compliance in AI systems, aligning with organizational standards.
+ **Scalability & Performance** : Architect cloud-native, distributed solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP) to support high-throughput AI workloads.
Minimum Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field and 3+ years of software engineering experience OR 5+ years of equivalent experience.
+ Strong programming skills in **Python** and at least one additional language (Java, C#, JavaScript, etc.).
+ Experience with **machine learning frameworks** (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face) and building production AI applications.
+ Hands-on experience with **MLOps practices** (CI/CD for ML, MLflow, Kubeflow, SageMaker, or similar).
+ Solid understanding of **cloud platforms** (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
+ Proven ability to collaborate across disciplines and translate technical solutions into business impact.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Experience developing **agentic AI solutions** (LLM-based workflows, autonomous task execution, retrieval-augmented generation, etc.).
+ Background in **predictive modeling, data pipelines, and inference systems** at scale.
+ Familiarity with **data governance, model observability, and responsible AI frameworks** .
+ Prior experience building **enterprise-grade AI platforms** supporting multiple stakeholders.
+ Demonstrated ability to mentor junior engineers and contribute to team culture.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
