Responsibilities
**Summary** : (Virtual/Remote) As a Technical Program Manager, you will be responsible for independent execution of multiple medium to large sized projects from planning to execution phases of projects’ delivery lifecycle. This role requires leveraging project management expertise and technical acumen to drive complex initiatives in a matrixed delivery environment across multiple business functions and engineering teams. In this role, you’re responsible for thorough planning: establishing structured project set up and stakeholder management, driving executional milestones, timelines and dependencies, and managing technical and business risks through mitigation planning to deliver enterprise value. You will be responsible for managing several concurrent and complex projects using agile and waterfall methods with proven project and program management skills.
Responsibilities:
+ Project Management: Own the end-to-end planning and delivery of technical programs, from kickoff through launch and post-launch support. Create, document, and maintain comprehensive project plans and coordinate tasks required for timely completion of enterprise initiatives. Assure organized and consistent utilization of project management tools. Facilitate meetings and communication between technical and non-technical teams to ensure alignment.
+ Project Leadership: Drive the creation of workflow diagrams, design documents, and product documentation. Partner with Engineering and Business with creation of project collateral.
+ Technical Project Execution:Understand and derisk the technical details of the development and break down complex project work to provide clarity and coordinate across engineers, development managers, and product managers. Own initiatives systematically to ensure accurate reporting and facilitation of work completion. Apply technical knowledge to solve complex problems and drive informed decisions. Collaborate and inform leaders to enable decision making on resources assignment for projects.
+ Resource Management: Identify need for resources through discussions of trade-offs with other teams to maximize the company’s overall goals.
+ Risk and Dependency Management: Manage dependencies, risks, and schedules. Identify and understand up and downstream impacts of decision making and timeline changes. Write trade-off documents to be reviewed by stakeholders across the company.
+ Project Advocacy: Lead and coordinate cross-functionally to ensure project objectives are understood and met. Act as the voice of the project to pursue execution in enterprise and delivery forums and governance (for example, Project Review Boards, Sprint Planning, Stand-ups, etc). Drive clarity in ambiguous situations and maintain focus on delivering business value.
+ Manage Initiative Changes: Anticipate, understand, document, and facilitate governance around changes required within initiatives (e.g. scope, resource requirements, schedules, etc). Communicate impacts to initiative stakeholders, evaluating broader roadmap impacts driven from the change
+ Initiative Communication and Change Management:Capture and report program status to stakeholders at various levels, including leadership, using clear, concise updates. Drive and communicate project milestone tracking on a regular cadence – including launch announcements, project change requests, project governance updates and dependent workstream management. Funnel updates into single structured project meeting cadence with defined stakeholder and change management plans.
+ Peer Mentorship & Process Improvement: Serve in the mentor role for the team and coach others, influencing the growth and skillset across the team. Contribute to the improvement of delivery systems and processes. Continuously seek improvements to delivery processes, identifying opportunities to reduce friction or improve velocity
+ May include other duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
+ Project Management Methodologies: Experience in management multiple complex projects at scale. Utilizes analytical and organizational skills to keep projects on track, problem solve and collaborate across project management team to elevate enterprise impacts
+ Project Management and Presentation Tools:Proficiency in utilizing suite of tools across project management capacities to facilitate project management and communications within various project management methodologies (agile, waterfall), including but not limited to: Microsoft Suite, JIRA, Confluence, Smartsheet
+ Communication Skills:Strong written and verbal communication to drive stakeholder management and effective decision making. Ability to speak up confidently to drive action, while building trust and perception of ownership of the plan. Ability to effectively communicate up and down throughout the organization from executive to developer
+ Technical Expertise: Experience in large-scale technology project management. Ability to apply technical knowledge to solve complex problems and elevate informed recommendations for decision. Ability to speak to project details with cross functional technology and business teams
+ Leadership and Collaboration Skills:Ability to lead and motivate cross functional teams, fostering collaboration, trust and transparency. The proven ability to drive forward with action through ambiguity
+ Drive Deliverables through Influence: Experience managing cross-organizational programs and ability to set and hold teams and individuals to timelines and deliverables without explicit authority
+ Remote Working: Experience working with remote teams in different countries and cultures
Qualifications
Preferred Skills:
+ Proven experience in managing project within a service based organization, ensuring exceptional delivery to multiple end-users
+ Experience understanding budget and financial management of a project
+ Experience in project management report generation, using delivery data to drive project management and roadmap insights
**Physical Role Requirements** : Be seated at a computer intermittently for up to eight hours a day. Move up to 10 pounds occasionally, by lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or otherwise repositioning objects. Sitting for long periods of time while using office equipment such as computers and phones. Repetitive motions using hands and digits, such as movement of wrists, hands and fingers while picking, pinching, and typing during your normal working environment.
**Minimum Education, Licensure and Professional Certification requirements:** Bachelor’s degree required in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, other related fields, PMP (Project Management Professional) certification preferred
**Minimum Experience required** _(number of years necessary to perform role)_ : 7+ years of experience required in managing technology projects in support of a highly technical environment, including experience in managing work in an agile environment

_This role pays between $123,800 to $154,700 and your actual base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, responsibilities, experience, and location._
