    Scholastic Book Fairs and Book Clubs are engaging experiences that empower kids to discover books for themselves. Taking place in schools and rooted in Scholastic’s greater mission to use the power of books for the betterment of all kids, Book Fairs and Book Clubs provide access to books and paths to discovery.

     

    The **Senior Manager, Sales & Business Communications** is a key leader within the Scholastic Book Fairs organization, responsible for shaping and delivering high-impact communications for both external partners and internal stakeholders. Supporting the Sales and Strategic Partnerships teams, this role is a strategic driver of alignment, engagement, and brand resonance across multiple audiences.

    This individual will:

    + **Inform** : Translate business priorities, sales strategies, and partnership opportunities into clear, actionable messaging;

    + **Inspire** : Craft compelling narratives that build connection to Scholastic’s mission and value;

    + **Iterate** : Continuously optimize communication channels and content for impact, clarity, and consistency.

    This role reports to the **Senior Director, Business Communications** , and collaborates closely with Sales Leadership, Marketing, and Corporate Communications.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    + Lead the creation of strategic partner-facing communications and sales enablement materials that support revenue growth and relationship development.

    + Create, design, and refine executive-level presentations, one-sheets, and decks for use across Sales and Customer Success teams.

    + Develop and manage a centralized communication and asset-sharing platform to ensure consistent access to up-to-date content across the organization.

    + Ensure all marketing content in the company’s sales enablement platforms, Spekit and Salesforce, is current, complete, and optimized for each.

    + Partner in developing and cascading internal business communications, including executive memos and leadership updates.

    + Collaborate with senior leaders to ensure communication materials align with company goals and messaging strategy.

    + Partner with Scholastic’s corporate communications team and PR leads to support publicity and thought leadership efforts tied to key partnerships.

    Qualifications

    QUALIFICATIONS

    + Minimum 7-10 years of communications experience, writing and tailoring content that demonstrates a deep understanding of messaging, positioning, and stakeholder needs.

    + Collaborative partner with excellent storytelling abilities and a strong design aesthetic.

    + Highly skilled at navigating complex organizations and working cross-functionally with senior stakeholders.

    + Demonstrated ability to think strategically and creatively while managing a variety of multi-faceted projects and programs simultaneously.

    + Excellent writing skills and ability to craft messages with clarity and a strong sense of purpose and to develop concise narratives that engage the audience.

    + Adept at synthesizing inputs and feedback from senior leadership into clear, concise messaging.

    + Flexible and adaptable, able to react quickly to changing requirements and new challenges.

    + Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential data responsibly.

    + Practical experience with Spekit and Salesforce

    + Proficient in Google Slides and Microsoft PowerPoint; familiarity with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office Suite required.

    EDUCATION

    + Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

     

    The pay range for this position is $114,000 to $125,000 annually.
